of our new clients come to us asking for our consulting service.
Our consulting service consist of one of our staff members going to the clients site and just reading through the site to start with. Then looking the site itself over, looking for any sign of weakness. We look for anything and everything. We Look at the way the site is put together, the way its advertised. How secure is the site, is it HTML protected? HTML protection protects more then just the text on a web page. It prevents others from, Right and left mouse clicking. It prevents people from triing to copy your information as well as protecting the images and graphics on your site as well. Are the backgrounds to bright? If the background inages you choose for your site are are to bright. Your viewers are not going to be able to see your information ? Can the text information on the site be seen easily? This is always a concern, If the text is to thin or to small again your viewers wont be able to see it and if it can't be seen then people aren't going to bother with your site. Do all the graphics load up? This is yet another reason why people will not return to a web site . If the images do not load up nobody is going to pay your site any attention nor will many people return. Do all the links on each page work? Broken links or links that will not take you where they claim they will are just one more reason not to want to return to a web site. Is the site user friendly? You wouldn't believe how many people start out with a simple idea for a site, and for a while it manages to stay that way. Then it happens They decide to try new things and before ther done not even they can navigate their own site. Here at D&A Designers we are firm believers in the K.I.S.S. method of web site design. We even time the loadup of the site itself. When all that's done, we write a report and send it to our client. From that point on its up to the client. The client will either correct the problems we find themselves, or they will take the next step and hire us to correct the problems that we find. Most of our clients are so over whelmed by our reports and the details found in the report that they tend to think that they either can't fix the problems or they will never have the time.
